Sanwo-Olu is set to commission a new 420-unit housing estate in Ajara, Badagry, as part of his drive to boost affordable housing in Lagos.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will on Wednesday, October 8, inaugurate a newly completed 420-unit housing estate at Ajara, Badagry.
The project, known as the Lagos State Housing Estate, Ajara Phase 1, is expected to provide homes for over 2,000 residents and expand the state’s affordable housing stock.
Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, disclosed this during a media chat in Ikeja on Tuesday.
“The estate consists of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments designed to meet the needs of different income groups. The project is part of Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to completing all ongoing housing projects and ensuring more Lagos residents have access to quality and affordable homes,” he said.
Akinderu-Fatai said the project would boost economic activity in Badagry and cautioned the public against fraudsters, emphasizing that the ministry does not engage agents in selling its housing units.
