NERC says DisCos collected N564.7bn revenue in Q2 2025, representing a 76% collection efficiency.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) says Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) generated N564.71 billion in revenue in the second quarter of 2025 out of N742.34 billion billed to customers.
According to NERC’s 2025 Second Quarter Report published on its website on Tuesday, this represents a collection efficiency of 76.07 per cent — a 1.68 percentage point increase from the first quarter’s 74.39 per cent.
Eko DisCo recorded the highest collection efficiency at 87.8 per cent, while Jos DisCo ranked lowest at 43.82 per cent.
“Port Harcourt, Benin, Ikeja, Ibadan, Eko and Yola DisCos recorded improvement in collection efficiency,” the report said, adding that Abuja and Jos DisCos had the most significant declines across the quarters.
