Hamas informed the Red Cross it will begin releasing hostages at 8 a.m. from three Gaza locations after a late-night technical meeting to coordinate the handover.
Hamas has informed the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) that the release of Israeli hostages will begin at 8:00 a.m. from three separate locations in the Gaza Strip, Saudi newspaper *Asharq* reported on Monday, citing a source familiar with the negotiations.
According to the report, Hamas held a technical meeting with the Red Cross team on Sunday night to finalize logistical details for the handover. The group also provided an update on the condition of the living hostages but declined to give further specifics.
The source added that the exchange process is expected to take place simultaneously across the three designated points, with Hamas receiving a new list of Palestinian prisoners slated for release in return. Mediators are said to be working “until the last minute” to finalize the list, which reportedly excludes high-profile prisoners such as Marwan Barghouti.
The upcoming release marks a significant step in the ongoing ceasefire deal mediated by international partners, aimed at ending months of hostilities between Israel and Hamas following the 2023 conflict.
