Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch will undergo assessment after picking up a minor hamstring issue while on international duty with the Netherlands.
Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch will be assessed after being substituted at half-time during the Netherlands’ 4-0 World Cup qualifying win over Finland on Sunday. Head coach Ronald Koeman confirmed the 23-year-old was withdrawn as a precaution after feeling discomfort in his hamstring.
“Ryan indicated he was experiencing some minor hamstring discomfort,” Koeman said. “We obviously didn’t take any risks with that.”
Gravenberch had played the full 90 minutes in the 4-0 win against Malta on Thursday. The midfielder has started six of Liverpool’s seven Premier League matches this season, contributing two goals and two assists.
Liverpool face Manchester United on Sunday, with Alisson and Ibrahima Konaté already sidelined through injury.
