In July 2025, Nigeria’s FAAC disbursed N704.01 billion to states — an 8.51 percent increase over June — with Delta, Lagos, and Rivers topping the list of beneficiaries.
In July 2025, a total of N704.01 billion was allocated to Nigeria’s 36 states under the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), up from N648.78 billion in June — a rise of N55.22 billion or 8.51 percent.
Leading the allocations, Delta State received N50.70 billion, followed by Lagos State with N41.84 billion, and Rivers State with N41.65 billion. Other top recipients included Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, and Kano among the top six.
Edo State ranked 10th, securing N17.84 billion, marking an 8.86 percent uptick from its June allocation of N16.39 billion. According to the report, the increase in allocations is attributed to stronger VAT inflows, exchange rate adjustments, and revenue gains from import duties.
“These allocations remain vital for funding public salaries, infrastructure projects, and social services at the subnational level,” the article notes, highlighting the critical role of FAAC in Nigeria’s fiscal framework.
