PDP destroyed itself over ‘Wike’s money,’ says Amadi, hails APC’s structure

Amadi said the PDP collapsed due to its dependence on Wike’s financial power, adding that the APC remains the most organised party despite having a “bad” presidential candidate.

Former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Dr. Sam Amadi, has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) destroyed itself by depending on the financial influence of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

Reacting to Governor Peter Mbah’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Amadi wrote on X that the PDP “destroyed itself with the love of Wike’s money.”

“I do not blame Peter Mbah for dumping PDP for the APC. APC is the best organised and sensible party, but it has a bad presidential candidate. Peter Obi is the best guy to save Nigeria now, but which party?” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has reaffirmed that his order maintaining status quo over the PDP National Convention remains in force, warning that any violation would attract consequential orders. The court is expected to deliver judgment on the suit before the end of October.
