FG, states, and LGs share ₦2.1trn as September 2025 revenue allocation

The Federal Government, states, and local governments shared ₦2.103 trillion as Federation Account revenue for September 2025, down from ₦2.2 trillion in August.

The Federal Government, states, and local government councils shared a total of ₦2.103 trillion as September 2025 Federation Account revenue.

This was contained in a communiqué issued on Friday by Bawa Mokwa, spokesperson of the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, after the October FAAC meeting in Abuja.

The figure is lower than the ₦2.2 trillion shared in August. FAAC stated that the ₦2.103 trillion comprised ₦1.239 trillion statutory revenue, ₦812.593 billion Value Added Tax (VAT), and ₦51.684 billion Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).

According to the communiqué, the Federal Government received ₦711.314 billion, states got ₦727.170 billion, and local governments received ₦529.954 billion. Benefiting oil-producing states received ₦134.956 billion as derivation.

FAAC noted that import duty, VAT, and EMTL rose in September, while companies income tax and oil royalties recorded declines.
