The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, on Sunday appeared in good health in Abuja, dismissing rumours about his alleged illness.
Edun was sighted at Fraser Suites attending an official meeting with the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and a delegation from Qatar. He looked cheerful and energetic as he engaged in discussions focused on strengthening economic and investment relations between Nigeria and Qatar.
Officials at the meeting said the session, which lasted over an hour, was productive, with Edun actively contributing insights. The Minister later stepped out briefly for a lunch break, further easing concerns about his wellbeing.
His appearance comes amid speculation that he was battling a serious ailment. Those present described him as “hale, hearty, and full of energy,” effectively putting to rest the rumours about his health.
