Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, collapsed in Kuje Prison and is now receiving treatment at Kuje Medical Centre.

Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, reportedly collapsed while in Kuje Prison.

He was immediately rushed to the Kuje Medical Centre, where he is currently receiving treatment. The development was confirmed on Saturday by one of Kanu’s lawyers, Maxwell Opara.

“Yes, I went to see him and he was admitted at Kuje medical centre where they are treating him and I left about some few hours ago,” Opara said. “The thing happened before I came and we arrived there around 12 and I started hearing the news.”

Opara added that he was allowed to see Ejimakor after insisting, noting that “I saw Sowore and others before they took me to go and see him.”

The incident occurred just 24 hours after a Kuje Magistrate Court judge, Abubakar Umar Sai’id, refused to sign Ejimakor’s bail bond.
