Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso says President Tinubu’s replacement of Service Chiefs is a proactive step that shows commitment to addressing Nigeria’s insecurity.

Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, Director of Finance at Hadejia Jamaare River Basin and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent overhaul of Service Chiefs, describing it as a proactive move to tackle insecurity.

Kwankwaso said, “The President’s actions are rather a sign of leadership that listens and acts when his citizens cry out across the board, not one that would presume the outcries are baseless and unfounded.”

He noted that Tinubu’s decision shows readiness to take tough steps to protect lives, adding that “the safety of Nigerians must come before sentiment, loyalty, or routine showmanship.”

Kwankwaso urged the new Service Chiefs to deliver measurable results, stating, “Underperformance will no longer be tolerated. Their actions must be defined by results, peace restoration, and confidence rebuilt in communities long haunted by violence.”
