Tompolo denies issuing any ultimatum over Nnamdi Kanu’s detention, calling the viral report a smear campaign by his detractors.

The Ibe-Ebidouwei of the Ijaw nation and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has denied reports linking him to a 21-day ultimatum allegedly issued to the Federal Government over the detention of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

In a statement by his media consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, on Sunday in Warri, Tompolo described the publication as false and malicious. “High Chief Ekpemupolo has nothing to do with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu. It is clearly the handiwork of Tompolo’s enemies, who are out to discredit and pull him down,” the statement read.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its renewed agenda, noting that he remains focused on combating illegal oil activities in the Niger Delta. The statement urged the public to disregard the report.
