Records show the Nigeria Police paid massively inflated prices for food supplies worth N249 million to a newly formed company.
A review of payment data has revealed that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) disbursed more than N249 million to a single firm, Drip-CHS Tech Nig. Limited, between August 2023 and December 2024 for the supply of food items such as biscuits, milk, sardines, and baked beans.
The payments, recorded as “consumables” and “logistics requirements,” were allegedly made to support security operations across several states. However, findings by the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) show that the prices were grossly inflated.
For example, the police reportedly paid N48.5 million for 110 cartons of Beloxxi Cream Crackers about N441,000 per carton instead of the market price of N4,100. Similarly, N48.4 million was paid for 90 cartons of baked beans and N17.1 million for 25 cartons of Titus sardines.
The supplier, Drip-CHS Tech Nig. Limited, was registered in 2023 and is owned by Chukwudi Chioma Daniella and Oranyendu Chukwudi Samuel.
