The FCT Police Command has clarified the circumstances surrounding the arrest of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, saying the action followed due legal process after he ignored multiple police invitations.
According to DAILY TRUST reporting, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed that the arrest and remand of Samuel Ojeogwu, the brother of actress Regina Daniels, were carried out lawfully and in line with a valid court warrant.
In a statement on Friday, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, revealed that Ojeogwu was arrested in Lagos on October 28, 2025, and flown to Abuja following a petition accusing him and three others of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.
“Several invitations were extended to Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu by the Metro Area Command for questioning, which were not honoured,” Adeh said. “He was arrested on the authority of a duly issued arrest warrant and subsequently conveyed to Abuja for investigation.”
She added that investigations had been concluded and Ojeogwu was charged in court on November 6. “He has been remanded by the court pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions,” Adeh stated.
Daniels had earlier alleged that the police were siding with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, who has yet to publicly comment on the matter.
