Pastor Enoch Adeboye warned that if the U.S. attacks Nigeria, neither China nor Russia would come to its defense, urging swift action to end insecurity.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has advised President Bola Tinubu to give Nigeria’s new service chiefs a three-month deadline to eliminate terrorists and their sponsors.
Adeboye made the call on Friday during the November Holy Ghost Service, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks on possible troop deployment to Nigeria over attacks on Christians.
“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time round, we should make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists but also their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be,” he said.
Adeboye recalled urging a former president to do the same, adding that the failure to follow through had prolonged insecurity. Warning that Nigeria could face dire consequences if action was delayed, he cautioned that “if America should attack us, China is not coming to defend us. Russia will not come to defend us.”
He further appealed to President Tinubu to seek a 100-day diplomatic understanding with Trump to address Nigeria’s security challenges decisively.
