They arrived with large flags and banners displaying Jonathan’s image, while also promoting Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed as his potential running mate in 2027.
Their movement around the venue, accompanied by solidarity songs, drew significant attention from delegates.
Speculation about Jonathan’s return has been growing for months. Although he has made no public declaration, some of his close allies suggest he is studying the political climate.
Posters of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde also appeared at the stadium on Friday, adding to the mix of emerging contenders as the PDP positions itself for the next general election.
