Comedienne Princess has urged Lagos authorities to add Baba Ijesha to the sex offender register following his release from prison.

Comedienne and actress Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, has called on the Lagos State Government and the Department of Justice to add actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha, to the sex offender register, according to a report from PUNCH.

Princess made the appeal during a live Instagram session on Saturday, November 15, 2025, following news of the actor’s release.

She said, “I want to urge Lagos State Government, the Department of Justice, to please publish his name in the sex offenders register,” noting that she would be awaiting an update on the matter.

Addressing claims that Baba Ijesha was pardoned, she clarified that he was released after serving his full prison term. She added, “No matter how much it hurt me, I have not hoarded any information; Baba Ijesha is now a convict… nobody freed him.”

Princess expressed relief that schools, hostels, landlords, and the public are now aware of his conviction. Prior to her live session, she shared a video advocating child protection, saying, “If you know any child who has been abused mentally, physically, or sexually, please DM me…”

Baba Ijesha was reportedly released after a Court of Appeal judgment overturned his conviction. An unverified video showed him expressing relief shortly after.

Attempts to reach him for comment were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
