Anthony Joshua will return to the ring next month in Miami to face YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul in an eight-round professional bout announced by Matchroom Boxing.
According to VANGUARD, former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is set to fight YouTube personality and boxer Jake Paul in a professional eight-round bout next month at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Matchroom Boxing announced on Monday.
The matchup comes as a replacement for Paul, whose exhibition fight with Gervonta Davis was recently cancelled. Paul, 28, is coming off a headline-making win over Mike Tyson in 2024, while Joshua has not fought since his stoppage loss to Daniel Dubois in their IBF title clash at Wembley last year.
The unexpected pairing adds a new twist to both fighters’ careers as AJ prepares for his first return to action in over a year.
