Under the proposals, which lead the front of The Times, families whose asylum claims are rejected and refuse to leave will be forcibly removed from Britain.

The Daily Mail reports that while announcing the plans, Shabana Mahmood rejected claims she was stoking division, as she has suffered racist abuse and knows the system must be fixed.

Some illegal immigrants awaiting deportation are being given private maths tuition, according to The Sun, which also reports on plans to pay £3,000 to asylum seekers to return to their home countries.
