Security expert says warning on Kebbi abduction was ignored

A security expert says authorities ignored his early warnings about bandits operating near the area where 25 schoolgirls were abducted in Kebbi state.

“I got the intelligence. I provided the intelligence to the intelligence hierarchy. The bandits were coordinating themselves within a radius of less than 100 kilometres. I didn’t have the specific information that they were targeting the secondary school. The intelligence hierarchy deliberately did not take the information I provided seriously” — Yahuza Getso, security expert, speaks on the abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi state
