Rauf Aregbesola has called on Nigerians to join the African Democratic Congress, asserting that the party will end banditry and insecurity if elected into government.

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, Rauf Aregbesola, has urged Nigerians to rally behind the party, declaring during his membership revalidation in Ilesa, Osun State, that the ADC will “end banditry, insecurity, and incidents like the one that occurred in Kwara” if it forms government.

According to a statement signed by ADC media director Oluwaseun Abosede, Aregbesola said he chose the party because it embodies “character, courage, competence, discipline, and integrity.”

The revalidation exercise, conducted by a committee led by Senator Sodiq Yaradua, also featured the unveiling of a new ADC membership card with 12 security features, with Yaradua noting that “the first person to be revalidated in Nigeria under the new ADC system was Aregbesola.”

He also announced an upcoming online registration platform.

Aregbesola, who has been vocal about the party’s 2027 ambitions, reiterated that the ADC is determined to unseat President Bola Tinubu, adding that the party’s growth strategy—where each committed member recruits ten others—will ensure nationwide dominance in the next general elections.
