Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has condemned the recent Niger school attack, claiming it was orchestrated by mischief makers seeking to discredit President Bola Tinubu’s administration while urging stronger community security efforts.

Senator Sunday Steve Karimi of Kogi West has denounced the attacks and kidnappings of school children in Niger State, alleging they were carried out by “mischief makers” attempting to “discredit President Bola Tinubu’s administration.” The incident occurred just days after the kidnapping of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State and an attack on a Christ Apostolic Church in Kwara, where several worshippers were abducted and others killed.

While urging Nigerians to maintain confidence in the current government, Karimi stressed that President Tinubu “is committed to protecting lives and property,” and called on state governments to establish Community Security Agencies as a first line of defense. He also highlighted the need for citizens’ involvement through information sharing, insisting that the perpetrators’ plans “will fail.”
