President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held talks with key European allies about President Trump’s 28-point peace plan for ending the Russia-Ukraine war, as Trump demands a response by Thanksgiving

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday that he discussed President Trump’s 28-point peace plan with the leaders of France, the U.K. and Germany, who he said “value the efforts of the United States, President Trump, and his team aimed at ending this war.”
In a separate video, Zelenskyy warned that “Ukraine may find itself facing a very difficult choice: Either loss of dignity, or the risk of losing a key partner. Either a difficult 28 points, or an extremely difficult winter.”
Trump has set a Thanksgiving deadline for Zelenskyy to respond to the proposal, saying, “Thursday is it — we think an appropriate time,” though an extension is possible.
The plan, which would require Ukraine to give up eastern territory, limit its military and forgo NATO membership, has not been substantively discussed with Russia, despite Putin saying it “could too form the basis for a final peace settlement.”
Zelenskyy said he is working closely with European leaders to ensure “a real and dignified peace” and emphasized that “America’s strength and America’s support can truly bring peace closer,” while insisting that Russia has “no real desire for peace.”
