A 24-year-old Adamawa man convicted of stealing Indomie noodles says he shared the loot among his three girlfriends but none visited him in detention as his jail term was reduced to community service.

Usman Abdullahi, a 24-year-old car washer from Shelleng in Adamawa State, has revealed that he stole packs of Indomie noodles and distributed them to his three girlfriends, only to be abandoned by them after his arrest.

“I stole Indomie and distributed it to my three girlfriends. Since I arrived the facility, none of them paid me a visit. I promise to end the relationship with them all once I gain my freedom,” he told the judge while appearing before the Adamawa State Jail Delivery Committee.

Usman’s two-year jail sentence was reviewed and reduced to community service by the committee chaired by Chief Judge Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman during a visit to the Shelleng Satellite Custodial Facility for decongestion.

Daily Trust gathered that after stealing the noodles, Usman fled to Shani where he was eventually arrested.
