Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has announced that Monday, 24 November 2025, will be observed as a Day of Fasting and Prayer across the state in response to ongoing insecurity and violence.
In a broadcast, he said, “I, hereby declare Monday, 24th November 2025, as a Statewide Day of Fasting and Prayer for the restoration of peace in Borno State and the country.” The governor urged all residents, regardless of faith, to join in and appealed for unity, calm, and steadfastness.
He also pledged the government’s commitment to stability, security, and welfare, while noting “the road to recovery is not easy, but with unity and perseverance, we can overcome any obstacle.”
