The ADC leadership says it will take legal action against those holding unauthorised congresses.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reaffirmed its commitment to rebuilding the party’s image, accusing “political vagabonds and refugees” of infiltrating its ranks.

According to The Guardian, the Acting National Chairman, Hon. Nafiu Bala, said the party’s national leadership is working to restore its lost glory and integrity. “The bonafide leaders of this great party are working assiduously, leaving no stone unturned in restoring the glory of the party hitherto infiltrated by political vagabonds,” he said.

Bala warned those conducting unauthorised congresses or parading themselves as leaders to desist or face legal action, stressing that the ADC “is not a refugee camp.”

The party also condemned attacks on its offices in Ekiti and Kaduna States, describing them as acts of political terrorism. National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi called for independent investigations and warned that “democracy is under threat if opposition parties continue to be targeted with impunity.”
