Pastor Enoch Adeboye has called on President Bola Tinubu to go beyond fighting terrorists and eliminate their sponsors, urging swift, wise, and diplomatic action to end insecurity in Nigeria.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu to not only combat terrorists but also eliminate those funding them, regardless of their influence.
According to Tribune Online’s reporting, Adeboye made the call during the November Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption City Campground, stressing that decisive action was needed to end killings across the country.
“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, he should make it clear to them they are not only to eliminate the terrorists but also eliminate the sponsors, no matter how influential they may be,” Adeboye said.
He urged Tinubu to “move fast, move diplomatically, move wisely,” and seek 100 days’ grace from the U.S. to address insecurity internally.
Adeboye warned that Nigeria must act cautiously in its dealings with world powers, saying, “If America should attack us, China is not coming to defend us.”
He faulted parts of Tinubu’s recent speech claiming security improvements, adding, “There are several people around Tinubu who are not telling him the truth.”
Adeboye expressed optimism that peace would return, declaring, “One way or the other, there will be peace again in Nigeria.”
