Former Osun House of Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye stated that Governor Adeleke is not welcomed in Osun APC
Olawale Rasheed, spokesperson to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has dismissed speculations of defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) or any other party. In a statement on Wednesday, Rasheed clarified that Adeleke remains a committed leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun, describing the rumours as “fake news.” The rebuttal follows claims linking the governor’s recent visit to President Bola Tinubu with a potential party switch.
“The visit by the Adeleke dynasty to President Tinubu is a routine courtesy visit. Any reading of defection agenda into it is fake news,” Rasheed stated. He reaffirmed, “Governor Adeleke remains a member and leader of the PDP in Osun State.”
