Fresh tremors hit Afghanistan on Friday as the country recovers from earlier deadly quakes.
A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan late Friday, September 5, the National Centre for Seismology said.
“EQ of M: 5.0, On: 05/09/2025 22:55:53 IST, Lat: 34.45 N, Long: 70.41 E, Depth: 10 Km,” the agency posted on X. No casualties were reported.
This comes a day after a 6.2-magnitude quake killed over 2,200 people and injured more than 3,600 in Kunar and Nangarhar provinces.
