The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), has said the federal government will respond appropriately to a petition demanding the probe of former Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari.

Fagbemi made the disclosure during an interview with journalists at the State House, Abuja.

A group, the People’s Alternative Political Movement, had submitted a petition accusing Kyari of alleged corruption and mismanagement and called for his investigation.

When asked about the petition, the AGF said, “You will get a response. It will come.”

Fagbemi declined to give a timeline or details of the planned response but assured the media that the matter was receiving attention.
