Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his infrastructural achievements and environmental reforms in Lagos and across Nigeria. In an open letter shared by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, Dangote highlighted Tinubu’s role in transforming Victoria Island through the Bar Beach Land Reclamation and Eko Atlantic City projects. “Your foresightedness is even more visible in view of the tragic incident in Kerr County, Texas,” Dangote stated, referencing flood prevention efforts.
He lauded the new 1,000-hectare Atlantic city protected by an 8.5km sea wall and commended ongoing superhighway projects linking Nigeria’s regions. “You added another feat by kickstarting the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway and the Sokoto-Badagry superhighway,” he noted.
Dangote also announced plans for a climate fund targeting flood-prone areas, inspired by Tinubu’s leadership. “We are also grateful for your compassionate and visionary leadership,” he said, praying for Tinubu’s continued success and wisdom.
