President Bola Tinubu has declared he has forgiven Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stating, “It’s all over now. All is forgiven.”

The president made the remark on Saturday after a closed-door meeting in Lagos with members of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), who appealed on behalf of the governor and others reportedly at odds with Tinubu.

Chairman of the GAC, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi, acknowledged that Tinubu had been displeased with certain individuals in the state, especially Sanwo-Olu, and sought reconciliation.

Sources present confirmed Tinubu assured attendees he held no grudge against the governor.

In a display of remorse, Sanwo-Olu and some GAC members prostrated before the president.

Although the specific cause of the fallout was not disclosed, the meeting focused on mending relations.

Tinubu’s acceptance of the plea marked a move toward unity within Lagos State’s political leadership.

The reconciliation is seen as a significant step in restoring harmony in the party.
