Ocasio-Cortez hits back at Trump after he calls her the “dumbest” member of Congress over her call for his impeachment following unauthorized airstrikes in Iran.
Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has fired back at former President Donald Trump after he called her “one of the dumbest” members of Congress for demanding his impeachment over recent U.S. airstrikes in Iran.
“Mr. President, don’t take your anger out on me – I’m just a silly girl,” she posted on X. “Take it out on whoever convinced you to betray the American people and our Constitution by illegally bombing Iran.”
In a Truth Social rant, Trump slammed Ocasio-Cortez’s comments as “rantings” and challenged her to “take the cognitive test” he claimed to have “aced.” He also accused her of neglecting her district and derided several other Democrats.
But Ocasio-Cortez, unfazed, doubled down: “I’m a Bronx girl… we can eat Queens boys for breakfast.”
She had earlier described the airstrikes as “a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers,” asserting they were “clearly grounds for impeachment,” placing her among the most outspoken critics of Trump’s foreign policy moves.
