The Nigeria Customs Service, Apapa Area Command, has collected N1tn in revenue between January and early May 2025.
The milestone was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Tunde Ayagbalo, who described the figure as a landmark achievement. “The command’s revenue collection table shows a total of N1tn,” the statement read in part.
Customs Area Controller Babatunde Olomu attributed the success to leadership from the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and the commitment of officers.
Olomu said, “Hitting the N1tn revenue before the middle of the fifth month is a confirmation of the command’s readiness to surpass the total of N2.3tn that was collected last year.”
He also credited the deployment of the Unified Customs Management System (B’Odogwu) and ongoing stakeholder training as key drivers. “Our award-winning reputation remains unshaken as we intensify efforts to maintain our excellent record,” he said.
