“mostly glass, curved iPhone”
Apple is reportedly working on a radically redesigned iPhone to mark its 20th anniversary in 2027. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the tech giant plans to release a “mostly glass, curved iPhone” that eliminates bezels and visible display cutouts by using under-display front-facing camera technology.
The device is said to have a design that wraps the screen around the edges of the phone, giving it a seamless look from all angles. Apple has long explored this idea, with a 2019 patent referencing a phone with glass that “forms a continuous loop.”
Beyond the iPhone, Apple is also rumored to be developing several new products for 2027, including its first foldable iPhone, AR smart glasses to rival Meta’s Ray-Bans, camera-equipped AirPods, and home robots powered by artificial intelligence.
Gurman also reports that Apple may introduce a smarter Siri based on large language models, supported by custom server-side AI chips currently in development.
