Despite playing 40 times under new manager Ruben Amorim last season, Garnacho’s relationship with the coach has been strained. Disagreements reportedly began before last year’s Manchester derby and worsened after an early substitution against Ipswich Town. His reaction to being left out of the Europa League final led Amorim to advise him to find a new club.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the Argentine’s departure, while journalist Gaston Edul identified Arsenal as the third Premier League club interested. “Two of the three clubs that enquired about Garnacho are Chelsea and Arsenal. Garnacho has a preference to stay in the Premier League,” Edul said.
Other suitors include Napoli, Al-Nassr, Atletico Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen. United initially valued the forward at £50 million, though a higher price may be set to deter rivals.
