Arsenal’s growing injury crisis raises questions beyond “bad luck”

A spate of recurring injuries to several Arsenal stars has raised concerns among fans and analysts, with many questioning whether the issue extends beyond mere misfortune.

Arsenal are once again facing a worrying injury crisis, with several first-team players sidelined by recurring fitness problems. While injuries are part of the game, the pattern at the North London club has begun to alarm supporters and pundits alike.

Gabriel Jesus, a key attacking option, continues to struggle with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) issues and persistent knee troubles.

Midfielder Kai Havertz has endured two hamstring injuries and a knee setback within the past year, while Riccardo Calafiori and Noni Madueke have also battled knee problems.

In defence, Jurrien Timber has faced a long layoff with an ACL injury coupled with constant niggles. Ben White has dealt with both knee and ankle issues, while Gabriel Magalhães has been hampered by hamstring problems.

Bukayo Saka, usually one of the club’s most durable players, has suffered two hamstring injuries in the last eight months.

Even new arrivals such as Thomas Nørgaard and Piero Hincapié have picked up injuries despite limited appearances.

The frequency and nature of these setbacks have left fans questioning whether Arsenal’s troubles can be explained away as “bad luck,” or if deeper issues in training, medical management, or player conditioning are to blame.
