Atiku Abubakar’s media aide, Paul Ibe, says the former vice president deserves a Nobel Prize for his persistent presidential ambitions, stressing that Atiku remains motivated by a sense of duty to Nigeria.

Paul Ibe, Media Adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has said his principal deserves a Nobel Prize for his consistency in aspiring to lead Nigeria. Speaking on Trust TV’s Daily Politics, Ibe dismissed claims that Atiku had contested for the presidency too many times.

“Atiku Abubakar has been on the ballot three times for the record,” he said, citing the 2007, 2019, and 2023 elections. When reminded of Atiku’s five-time aspiration, Ibe remarked, “Atiku Abubakar should get a Nobel Prize for that,” adding that “The former Vice President feels that he has something to offer.” He explained that Atiku’s drive stems from gratitude to Nigeria for opportunities in education, customs, and business.

Ibe also revealed that Atiku was a billionaire before becoming Vice President in 1999 and had “single-handedly bought the Wadata Plaza for the PDP,” underscoring his long-standing commitment to the nation and the party.
