Former Executive Director of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Olusegun Awolowo, has died at the age of 62, according to THE NATION. The family announced the news “with extremely heavy hearts,” confirming the passing of the husband, father and grandfather.
In the statement, the family described him as “the world’s most phenomenal husband, father and grandfather — steady, wise, endlessly loving, and the constant anchor of our family.” They praised his “painfully loyal” service to Nigeria, noting that he dedicated his life to national development with “vision, integrity, passion, and unwavering commitment.”
Awolowo was remembered as a devoted family man, “a great friend, a wonderful servant of God, and a deeply beautiful human being.” The statement highlighted his profound love for his family, his work and his country, stressing that he lived each day “with purpose, humility, and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew him.”
