Authorities say she then hit a car with a juvenile inside before circling back to ram the vehicle of the woman she had argued with.
A woman from Indian Head, Maryland, has been charged after allegedly driving into several people at a baby shower in Waldorf on June 1.
According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, 53-year-old Robin Alexander became involved in an argument with another woman during the event. The dispute escalated into the parking lot, where Alexander allegedly drove her car toward the woman, striking her and another individual.
Authorities say she then hit a car with a juvenile inside before circling back to ram the vehicle of the woman she had argued with. Bystanders managed to disable Alexander’s car by slashing its tires.
Emergency responders treated two people at the scene, while another was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile was unharmed.
Alexander was also treated at a hospital and released the next day under electronic monitoring. She faces eight counts of aggravated assault and two counts of destruction of property, police said.
