Bariga LCDA renames streets after celebrities and politicians, honours Baddo

The Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos has renamed Charly Boy Bus Stop to Baddo Bus Stop in honour of rapper Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Baddo.

The Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos has renamed Charly Boy Bus Stop to Baddo Bus Stop in honour of rapper Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Baddo. The move is part of a broader effort to commemorate individuals who have contributed significantly to the community and nation.

Announcing the decision on the final day of his tenure, council chairman Hon. Kolade Alabi David said, “As an administration, we took our time to reflect on a number of our people who have put the name of our local council out on the global map through their respective God-given talents and craft, as well as eminent personalities in our Nation and our beloved state and Local Council who have contributed immensely to the development of our Nation and our State.”

Other renamed roads include Ilaje Road to King Sunny Ade Road, Bariga Road to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way, and Ilojo Crescent to Bukayo Saka Street. The announcement follows a similar street renaming initiative by Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA.
