The Bauchi State Police Command has begun a manhunt for a mob accused of carrying out jungle justice on one Dokagk Danladi, who was alleged to have stolen a dog.
The Bauchi State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a mob that attacked two men accused of stealing a dog, leaving one dead and another severely injured. Police spokesperson Ahmed Wakil stated: “Commissioner Sani-Omolori Aliyu has mandated a comprehensive investigation into the egregious act of jungle justice,” which occurred on April 9 behind Lushi area.
The victims, identified as Dokagk Danladi, 38, and an unnamed companion, were assaulted by youths. Wakil confirmed: “Dokagk sustained severe machete wounds to his head” and is receiving treatment at ATBUTH, while his companion was declared dead at the scene. The police condemned the extrajudicial violence and vowed to apprehend the perpetrators.
