The Chosen has unveiled the trailer and premiere date for its fifth season, titled the “Last Supper.” The Biblical drama, created by Dallas Jenkins, will debut on Prime Video on June 15 following a successful theatrical release. Parts 1 to 3 of the season have grossed $60 million globally, surpassing the combined earnings of seasons three and four.

According to the official synopsis, the season portrays Jesus’ final days—from his triumphal entry into Jerusalem to betrayal and crucifixion. Jenkins described the series as a historical drama for all viewers, stating, “I’m not trying to, through the art, convert anybody or preach anything.” The Chosen began as a crowd-funded project in 2019.
