A small nodule was recently discovered in former President Joe Biden’s prostate during a routine physical exam, according to media reports.
The Associated Press reported Tuesday that the finding “necessitated further evaluation,” citing a spokesperson. Fox News Digital noted that multiple requests for comment from Biden’s team went unanswered.
This development follows earlier health concerns during Biden’s presidency. In February 2023, White House physician Kevin O’Connor reported that a biopsy confirmed a lesion removed from Biden’s chest was basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer.
“As expected, the biopsy confirmed that the small lesion was basal cell carcinoma. All cancerous tissue was successfully removed,” O’Connor wrote in a memo at the time. “No further treatment is required.”
He added, “The site of the biopsy has healed nicely and the President will continue dermatologic surveillance as part of his ongoing comprehensive healthcare.”
Additional information on the prostate nodule’s evaluation is pending.
