“The blood of innocent Nigerians cries out for justice. The security and survival of our people must be the foremost responsibility of any government that claims to be responsible and compassionate.”

Peter Obi has condemned the persistent killings in Benue, Plateau, and Kogi states, calling it a “grave indictment” of Nigeria’s security failures. The former presidential candidate commended the Army Chief’s relocation to Benue but stressed that innocent lives demand more than symbolic gestures. Obi’s statement follows fresh attacks in Benue, where communities continue to face violence despite military presence.
