Blue Origin, the private aerospace company founded by Jeff Bezos, has launched an all-female celebrity space crew on its latest suborbital flight. The crew, which includes pop star Katy Perry, television personality Gayle King, and journalist Lauren Sanchez, blasted off from the company’s launch site in West Texas.
The flight, aimed at celebrating women’s contributions to space exploration, marks a significant milestone in the space tourism industry. Perry, King, and Sanchez were joined by other high-profile passengers on the mission, which lasted several minutes and reached an altitude of around 62 miles.
Sanchez, who is also a major supporter of Blue Origin, shared her excitement about the historic flight, calling it “an incredible experience.”
