Evanilson’s early strike gave Bournemouth a 1-0 win over Tottenham, sealing a dominant display at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Bournemouth claimed an impressive 1-0 win over Tottenham in North London, maintaining their strong start to the 2025/26 season.
Evanilson’s fifth-minute strike, assisted by Marco Senesi, was enough to secure victory for Andoni Iraola’s men. The Brazilian’s effort deflected off Cristian Romero to beat Guglielmo Vicario, giving the visitors a deserved early lead.
The Cherries dominated throughout, creating multiple chances and restricting Spurs to no shots in the first half. David Brooks and Antoine Semenyo both went close, while Evanilson nearly doubled his tally after the break.
Despite a few late flurries from Spurs, including Mathys Tel’s stoppage-time volley, Bournemouth held firm to take all three points back to Dorset.
“Bournemouth were on top in every aspect,” as their 19 attempts highlighted their superiority. The result leaves both sides on six points heading into the international break, with Spurs third and Bournemouth seventh after three games.
