Charlie Kirk, executive director of Turning Point USA, was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University, with his condition still unclear as officials investigate.

Charlie Kirk, executive director of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) and a prominent Trump ally, was shot on Wednesday while hosting an event at Utah Valley University.

Videos circulating on social media showed Kirk being struck as he spoke under a tent in the campus courtyard during the American Comeback Tour, organized by the local TPUSA chapter. Footage also captured students running from the sound of gunfire.

The TPUSA press team confirmed to Fox News that Kirk had been shot, though his condition was unknown. Utah senator Mike Lee posted on X: “Tracking the situation at Utah Valley University closely. Please join me in praying for Charlie Kirk and the students gathered there.” Another senator, Ashley Moody, added, “I pray for Charlie Kirk, the students, and this nation.”

A university police spokesperson confirmed shots were fired on campus. Moments before the incident, Kirk had tweeted: “WE. ARE. SO. BACK. Utah Valley University is FIRED UP.”
