Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot during a Q&A at Utah Valley University, sparking chaos and prompting prayers from political allies.

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem on Wednesday. Witnesses said shots rang out during a student Q&A session, causing panic inside the venue. Kirk, 31, was reportedly struck in the neck area, though his condition remains unclear.

Police confirmed a suspect is in custody following the attack. An alert was sent to students urging caution.

Moments before the shooting, Kirk posted on X: “WE. ARE. SO. BACK. Utah Valley University is FIRED UP and READY for the first stop back on the American Comeback Tour.”

Vice President JD Vance, Senator Mike Lee, and commentators Candace Owens and Michael Knowles all urged prayers for Kirk.
