Chelsea are reportedly interested in Gianluigi Donnarumma, with the PSG goalkeeper set to enter the final two years of his contract.
Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, as the Italian enters the final two years of his contract.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2024–25 season, keeping 12 clean sheets in PSG’s treble-winning campaign, and has continued his form into the Club World Cup with five clean sheets and just one goal conceded.
Chelsea scouts are expected to watch closely as PSG face the Blues in Sunday’s final, but any transfer talks are unlikely until after the tournament, according to L’Équipe.
Donnarumma has stated, “My priority is to stay at PSG and sign a new deal. I don’t think there will be any problems in the negotiations.”
However, with Chelsea searching for a long-term solution between the posts after interest in Milan’s Mike Maignan collapsed, Donnarumma remains firmly on their radar.
Although PSG’s asking price is undisclosed, Chelsea may need to break the bank again—just as they did in 2018 for Kepa Arrizabalaga’s £71.6m transfer.
