The Chief Security Officer to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, ACP Mohammed Iya Musa, has been named in a land fraud lawsuit involving Rebecca Omokamo Godwin Isaac, a close associate of Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun. Filed under Suit No: FCT/HC/CV/1678/2025, the case alleges that Rebecca and officials of AGIS and FCDA forged documents to illegally claim land owned by 79-year-old widow Hajia Collen Mero Yesufu.
Rebecca, her husband, and others are also facing criminal charges from the EFCC for allegedly defrauding investors of over ₦800 million. “Rebecca reportedly filed a civil suit to block prosecution,” court sources said. Musa is accused of introducing Rebecca to a top FCTA official to obstruct investigations.
Musa was previously suspended by the police in 2021 for misconduct. Meanwhile, the FCTA’s Joseph Eriki and others face federal charges over separate land fraud cases. Allegations of systemic land-grabbing continue to swirl around the FCT administration.
